Design Notes
Some bases in the PSMA promoter gene originated from the GenBank gene include illegal restriction sites defined by iGEM. They are changed to other bases. Transfection of a plasmid with the gene PSMA-GFP into cancerous cells successfully produced significant fluorescence which is observed under an inverted microscope capable of monitoring live cells.
